Previously ESF had Scientific Standing Committees composed of leading scientists nominated by the ESF’s Member Organisations who were responsible for identifying scientific priorities, formulating strategies, developing research agendas and conducting peer review. These Scientific Standing Committees were replaced in 2013 by five smaller Scientific Review Groups (SRGs) They came to the end of their mandate at the end of 2015.
Today, ESF gathers and nurturing a Community of Experts involving recognised Expert Reviewers, Research Associates and Review Panel members across all scientific disciplines.
