Individual and Society in the Mediterranean Muslim World

News

1999 saw the final session of the program. A few seminars and workshops are still planned as listed below.

A brain-storming session took place in September 1999 to scrutinize the goals set in the beginning of the project with the achievements attained during the program. Several scholars from outside the program were invited to participate with the objective of further identifying transversal themes which cross through the research studied and presented during the program’s seminars and workshops occuring over the past three years in Europe, Turkey and Middle East. The most original and persuasive themes in the research will be evaluated in a final volume to be published at the conclusion of the program.
