This programme supports both, theoretical and experimental work in the area of quantum information science.
Within this framework applications are now invited for a special set of grants reserved for experimental physicists to enhance pan-European collaboration between EXPERIMENTAL groups working in quantum information processing. Initially 5 grants will be offered, each up to a value of 5000 EUR, to cover expenses for one longer term or a series of shorter term collaborative visits.
Applications are open to all EXPERIMENTAL PHYSICISTS working in European universities with the constraint that either the home institution of the visiting researcher or the host institution has to be from one of the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, United Kingdom.
There is no deadline for applications, but the first decisions will be taken on the 1 November.
Applications should be directed in electronic form to Martin Plenio Email
and must contain the following information:
1) Name, full address, status of both visitor and host.
2) 1 page description of purpose of collaboration includingscientific case and organization of visit (eg one long term visit or several short term stays). This should be agreed with the host and be supported by an email from the host.
Applications are welcome in postscript, Word or pdf format.
