17-22 September 2005
Hotel Eden Roc, Sant Feliu de Guixols, Spain
The conference will take place in Sant Feliu de Guixols, on the Spanish Costa Brava, 120 km north of Barcelona and 30 km south of Girona. Group transportation will be arranged from/to Barcelona airport, on arrival and departure days.
This conference is the ninth in a series of meetings on Membrane Dynamics in Endocytosis. In recent years, endocytosis has become recognised as central to many key issues not only in cell biology, but also in neurobiology, immunology, and developmental biology. Among the functions of endocytosis are nutrient uptake, plasma membrane homeostasis, and receptor down regulation, as well as more specialised activities such as recycling of synaptic vesicle membranes, antigen processing and presentation, and morphogen gradient formation and modulation of signalling during embryonic development.
The conference aims to bring together scientists with diverse backgrounds to foster cross-fertilisation and the generation of new ideas.
Topics will include:
In addition to the talks by invited speakers, there will be talks selected from poster abstracts at each section, as well as poster presentations and prizes awarded to the best posters.
