Location

Hotel Eden Roc, Sant Feliu de Guixols, Spain
The conference will take place in Sant Feliu de Guixols, on the Spanish Costa Brava, 120 km north of Barcelona and 30 km south of Girona. Group transportation will be arranged from/to Barcelona airport, on arrival and departure days.

Final Programme & List of Accepted Participants

This conference is the sixth in a series of meetings on Gene Transcription in Yeast. The main goal of this conference will be to discuss and integrate the very latest information from different areas of research that control the same final process – the expression of genes, fundamental to life in all organisms. Since many of the processes have been shown to be conserved in humans, the pioneering findings in yeast are important to the field as a whole.

The conference aims to give participants an enhanced understanding of (i) the impact of higher order structures in the nucleus in controlling gene expression (ii) the dynamic aspects of gene transcription and the range of transient interactions and modifications involved (iii) signaling to chromatin and the epigenetic control of transcription and (iv) the networks that controls transcription in the broadest sense (initiation, co-transcription-processing and export, RNA stability; regulatory RNAs) and the modeling of biological systems and processes from global array data. The conference will bring together scientists with diverse backgrounds to foster new collaborations and the generation of new ideas. Topics will include: modeling gene transcription from global array data transcription and chromatin dynamics signaling and activator dynamics global networks genetic approaches to discovering new networks and new protein complexes higher order structures in the nucleus modifications to and remodeling of chromatin epigenetic control of transcription initiation, elongation, termination and silencing structures in transcription.
