The conference will take place in Sant Feliu de Guixols, on the Spanish Costa Brava, 120 km north of Barcelona and 30 km south of Girona. Group transportation will be arranged from/to Barcelona airport, on arrival and departure days.
The ESF/EMBO Symposium “Stem Cells in Tissue Engineering: Isolation, Culture, Characterisation and Applications” will provide updated tools and innovative knowledge to highly educated “hybrid” researchers, enabling and complementing competitiveness to play a leading role in the European research within the Stem Cells, Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine research fields.
It is an objective conviction of the organisation to instruct participants through a tutorial and highly challenging scientific programme, addressing the latest scientific research and developments of Stem Cells application on tissue engineering and regeneration.
The conference aims to bring together scientists with diverse backgrounds to foster cross-fertilisation and the generation of new ideas.
Topics will include:
In addition to the 22 talks by invited Speakers, there will be 24 short talks from selected abstracts, as well as 2 poster sessions and prizes awarded to the best communications.
Brainstorming sessions will be held with the aim of enhancing the scientific programme, promoting further interactivity by integrating researchers with different levels of experience and encouraging younger researchers to be involved in the discussion. The objective is to prospect emergent technology developments as well as to discuss strategies to circumvent actual technological obstacles.
