Programme |
The unique architectures and biological activities associated with many of nature’s small molecules are pushing the frontiers in diverse areas inspired by natural products, hence the focus of this ESF-COST High-Level Research Conference.
This year’s outstanding group of speakers will address the latest developments related to the isolation of biologically active natural products, their role in the area of chemical biology and drug development, as well as the inspiration that they provide for the advancement of synthetic chemistry. Leaders in the field of novel methodology and reaction development will discuss progress in asymmetric catalysis, organocatalysis, C-H bond functionalisation, cascade reactions and applications in the context of natural product total synthesis and medicinally relevant small molecules. Other speakers will emphasise new aspects of isolation, total synthesis, chemical biology, and medicinal chemistry of biologically active natural products.
Afternoon poster sessions will be an integral part of the conference, providing an ideal forum for unpublished work and exchange of ideas in an informal setting - a format which has been highly successful in the past years. All conferees are encouraged to submit abstracts; a number of papers will be selected for a short talk presentation.
Full conference programme is available here.
