The conference is the first of a new series of high-level meetings on the neurosciences in Europe. Co-organised by ESF and The Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS, the major neuroscience association in Europe), these bi-annual conferences will bring together outstanding researchers in key broadly defined areas of contemporary neuroscience to discuss current concepts and define challenges for future research.

How to participate |
Registration is open and accepted participants have been emailed the link to register separately. If you have any questions, please contact the Conference Officer.
Due to a high number of applications received and a long waiting list, accepted participants are requested to confirm their attendance by filling in the registration form and pay the conference fee by 13/09/2012. If we do not receive the registration by this date, we reserve the right to give priority to participants of the waiting list.

Conference fees cover an all inclusive package which includes full board accommodation in beautiful Hotel La Palma, coffee breaks, registration fee, excursion, gala dinner.

Grants are available for students and early stage researchers to cover the conference fee and possibly part of the travel costs. Grants are distributed based on financial need and scientific merit. Grantees must attend the entire conference in order to benefit from the grant. Grant requests should be made by ticking appropriate field(s) in the paragraph "Grant application" of the application form.
Practical Information |
The meeting will be held at Hotel La Palma in Stresa, a splendid small resort town on the Lago Maggiore in Italy, only 45 km away from the International airport of Milano Malpensa. Hotel La Palma is a 4-star hotel on the lake with excellent facilities, including state-of-the-art gyms and a roof top swimming pool and bar.
