Assessment of the Impacts of Genetically Modified Plants (AIGM)

Workshop on Ecological concepts and techniques to assess the impact of genetically modified plants in natural and crop ecosystems

The aim of this workshop is to overview the validity of ecological methods, concepts and techniques, from theoretical and statistical to the field, to general GMO environmental risk assessment, the suitability ecological concepts such as ecosystem services as an intellectual framework for assessing environmental impacts of GMO plants.

Invited speakers will present current developments in relevant areas of ecology, such as ecosystem services, tri-trophic interactions, omnivory, statistical & field methods, laboratory ecological methods, chemical information, natural enemies, invasion theory, biodiversity & ecosystem functioning.

Participation will be limited to around 50.

This workshop will be held on 1-2 November 2002 in Korsør, Denmark.
