Summary
This project aims to recover specific annually laminated laked sediments to study the palaeoenvironmental conditions of Europe. In addition, a long list of other interesting parameters can be measured in these sediment samples such as past magnetic fields, palaeotemperatures, plant distribution through pollen analysis, sediment fluxes and, indirectly, the solar-terrestrial forcing.
