Final Programme & List of Accepted Participants

Quantum information science aims to employ the power of quantum mechanics for novel applications in communication, computation and measurement. Following the rapid theoretical development of the field, in recent years exciting progress has been made towards the controlled preparation, manipulation and readout of individual quantum systems in various technologies. At this conference world-leading experts from a number of these areas, including optics, trapped atoms and ions, and solid state systems, will review recent progress and future prospects in their areas of expertise.
The conference will consist of lectures given by invited leading scientists, discussion and interactive sessions among participants. There will be poster sessions, with posters on display for the whole duration of the conference. No flash talks of oral presentations are planned.
The total attendance will be limited to about 80 participants: 30 speakers and 50 young scientists.
Participants must hold a Ph.D. degree that is no more than 10 years old, or be in their final 1.5 years of Ph.D studies. As a condition of acceptance, young researchers are expected to present a poster and should submit a one-page abstract with their application to attend. No flash talks or oral presentations are planned.
ESF and JSPS will cover travel and conference costs for all accepted participants except for those from industry.
Working language is English.
