Final Programme & List of Accepted Participants

This conference will be the first within the ESF high-level research conferences scheme and is being organised in partnership with the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) and the Leopold Franzens Universität Innsbruck (LFUI). The scope of the conference ranges from the investigation of gas phase molecules (the building blocks of bio-molecules) through the study of molecules under micro-solvation to studies probing larger molecular systems deposited on substrates or in the liquid phase. Topics to be discussed include the interaction of biomolecular systems with photons electrons and ions, charge transfer processes and the investigation of the structures of large bio-molecular complexes. Theoretical as well as experimental research will be presented.

The meeting will consist of invited lectures and oral contributions. Invited lectures are aimed at reporting state-of-the-art experimental and theoretical results including developments of underlying methods. Shorter oral contributions will provide an opportunity for a number of young (and less established) colleagues to present their results and will be selected from submitted poster abstracts, three poster sessions being integrated within the scientific programme of the meeting.
