The conference will be held at Hotel Villa del Mare in Acquafredda di Maratea. Acquafredda di Maratea is situated on the coast, on the Gulf of Policastro, between Sapri and Maratea, about 200 km (125 miles) south of Naples and about 400 km (250 miles) south of Rome. Group transportation will be organised on arrival and departure days from and back to Sapri train station.

The conference will gather together some of the current and future leaders in the field of natural products and related areas to discuss the latest developments in the field and exchange ideas, foster collaborations, and promote education and training of young students. Although the majority of the speakers and attendees will be from the EU, representatives from the US, Japan, Singapore and Australia will also be present. About 120 participants are expected to attend.
It will primarily focus on the synthesis, biology and medicine of naturally occurring substances and their designed analogues as well as related areas, such as chemical synthesis technologies and isolation.
The meeting will serve to bring together researchers from several parts of the EU and from around the world to discuss the latest developments in the field and to provide opportunities for young students to advance their education and training. Time will be alloted to poster presentations.

There will be no short talks other than those listed on the final programme. All other abstracts are accepted for poster presentation unless the Conference Officer informs you otherwise.
Posters can be fixed with magnets and pins onto poster panels. Recommended poster size is 100 cm high x 100 cm wide. Use letters and drawings that can be read from approximately 100 cm distance.

GROUP TRANSPORTATION
Bus departure times – Sunday 18 May: from 15.00 to 22.45
All major trains arriving in Sapri from Rome/ Naples will be met by bus to transfer you the 8 km to the Hotel. This transfer service will operate free of charge so you are encouraged to take advantage of it. The buses will have a sign in the window indicating “ESF-COST High-Level Research Conferences” for easy recognition.
Group transportation back to Sapri train station will be arranged in a similar way for the departure day.

ACCOMMODATION
Please note that SINGLE accommodation can only be guaranteed to invited speakers. All other participants will have to share a TWIN room. In case single rooms would become available at the time of the conference, rooms will be attributed on a “first come, first served” basis. Only the TWIN conference fee should be paid to the ESF when registering. The supplement for single should be paid to the venue directly. Should you wish to be put on the waiting list for single accommodation, please contact the Ms Zuzana Vercinska.
All participants - including speakers & session chairs - are kindly expected to confirm their attendance (and, when applicable, to pay the conference fee) by filling in a Registration Form.
