23-28 October 2011 • Agapi Beach Hotel (near Heraklion) • Crete, Greece
Chaired by:
Prof. Gonen Ashkenasy, Ben Gurion University of the Negev, IL
Co-chaired by:
Prof. Meir Lahav, Weizmann Institute of Science, IL
Systems Chemistry research is directed at understanding the organizational principles of complex chemical and biological systems. Scientists from different disciplines, such as Supramolecular Chemistry, Chemical Physics, Chemical Biology and Theoretical Biology try together to shine light on emergent properties in chemical systems, with the hope to also unravel different scenarios relevant to the origin of living systems. The meeting in Crete/Greece will focus on studies that can conceptually bridge the prebiotic chemistry with engineering and analysis of molecular networks, and those that may lead all the way to the development of artificial cells.
