About COST Action FP0902
The main objective of COST Action FP0902 Development and Harmonisation of New Operational Research and Assessment Procedures for Sustainable Forest Biomass Supply is to harmonise forest energy terminology and methodologies of forest operations research and biomass availability calculations, thereby building the scientific capacity within forest energy research and supporting the technology transfer of the forest biomass procurement chain and sustainable forest management.

About Federal Research and Training Centre for Forests, Natural Hazards and Landscape
The Federal Research and Training Centre for Forests, Natural Hazards and Landscape (BFW; bfw.ac.at) is a multidisciplinary research and training institution of the Federal Government of Austria. BFW provides information on the sustainable development of Austria's wood resources based on data of the Austrian National Forest Inventory (NFI) and the Forest Soil Survey, estimating the expected forest productivity under different management scenarios.
