EISMINT aims to examine the critical links between global climate change and ice sheets by improving mathematical modelling in a number of key areas. This programme was initiated by the European Committee for Ocean and Polar Sciences (ECOPS) in 1991 and launched by the ESF end 1992. More

Initially for three years, from January 1993 to December 1995. Funding extended for two further years, from January 1996 to December 1997. Activities continued through to April 1999.
