EGs are clustered according to their focus and each cluster will be implemented through disciplinary Work Packages:
Cluster 1: Integrated systems physiology – Leader: CNRS – France
Expert Groups: Bones and Muscles, Heart, lungs and kidneys, Neurophysiology, Immunology, Nutrition and metabolism- Cluster 2: Psychology and human-machine systems – Leader: U. Sheffield - UK
Expert Groups: Human-machine interface, Skill maintenance, Group/Team Processes - Cluster 3: Radiation –Leader: DLR- Germany
Expert Groups: Radiation dosimetry, Radiation effects on humans - Cluster 4: Habitat management – Leader SCK-CEN, Belgium
Expert Groups: Environmental Microbiology, Life Support (bioregenerative and physicochemical) - Cluster 5: Health Care - Leader: MEDES – France
Expert Groups: Emergency medicine, Self care and Drug effects
In addition to these five disciplinary Work Packages, WP6 (Integration – WP leader: DLR, Germany) will involve identification of overarching recommendations and the integration of EGs’ findings into the final strategic roadmap.
