Stable Isotopes in Biospheric-Atmospheric Exchange (SIBAE)

Summary

This Programme aims to study the role of terrestrial ecosystems in the global carbon budget.  Specifically, it aims to study the CO2 and H2O gas exchange between terrestrial ecosystems and the atmosphere using stable isotopes by networking European scientists from various disciplines ranging from atmospheric physics to micrometeorology and from plant ecophysiology to biogeochemistry.
