Stable Isotopes in Biospheric-Atmospheric Exchange (SIBAE)

Activities

The planned activities of the Programme include:

  • exchange visits
  • workshops
  • conferences
  • summer schools.

The final Call for applications for exchange visits  (normally up to six months; minimum one month; for this final call, up to three months) is now closed.   The deadline for submission of applications was 15 January 2007.   Visits and final reporting must be completed by 31 May 2007.

Information on awards made to date is available here.

No further Calls for Workshop Proposals will be issued.

  • Workshop on Oxygen isotopes as a tracer linking global O2, CO2, and H2O cycles, Marshall, California, USA, 19-22 September 2004
  • International Workshop on Stable Isotope InfraRed Spectrometry, Vienna, AT, 6-8 September 2004
  • A joint SIBAE-BASIN Conference on Partitioning of fluxes between the biosphere and atmosphere across spatial scales, Interlaken, CH, 1-3 April 2004
  • Workshop on Stable isotopic signals of the terrestrial biosphere: Linking ecosystem C fluxes to isotopic signals of plant components,  Orvieto, IT, 18-22 November 2003
  • Postgraduate course on Stable isotopes in soil science, plant ecology and biosphere-atmosphere exchange, cosponsored with SLU,  Umea, SE, 15-24 September 2003.
