Historical and contemporary perspectives of philosophy of science in Europe

Summary

The aim of this network is to identify the main features of philosophy of science in Europe today, in a spirit of continuity with a tradition that originated with the movement known as "logical positivism" in the first decades of the last century. New material available in various archives which have been recently opened will contribute to a reappraisal of logical positivism. This fresh look will contribute to a clarification of the nature of scientific knowledge from a philosophical standpoint.
