Objectives
- Coordination and integration of European and larger scale data collection and regional synthesis on the impact of climate change in permafrost regions.
- Provision of a European forum for knowledge transfer between permafrost disciplines and promotion of collaborative multi-disciplinary research initiatives relating to impact studies.
- Coordination of information dissemination to the larger international permafrost community.
- Establishment of an expert group capable of providing clear, accurate and unbiased information to educationalists, agencies, the press and public.
