Coordination Committee chaired by Professor Ria De Bleser, University of Potsdam, Germany
This Network aims to bring together European experts in neuroimaging and cognitive language modelling in order to create a unified methodology for brain/language studies. The overall experimental approaches used in applying imaging to neurological research will be re-assessed. The progress achieved in language process will pave the way for further investigations of systematically addressing new and challenging issues such as anatomy of reading and bilingualism. The results from physiological studies will be extended into firm clinical applications. The conclusions of this Network should therefore be highly relevant not only for basic neuroscience research but also for assessment and treatment of acquired language impairments.
