2nd Review Panel meeting (ranking meeting)

The EuroQUASAR Review Panel met to evaluate the referee assessments and applicants’ responses, and to make funding recommendations.  From the 5 Full Proposals submitted 3 were recommended for funding, subject to funding confirmations and national regulations of the participating agencies.

1st Review Panel meeting (sifting meeting)

Following the Call for outline proposals launched in March 2007, a total of 7 outline proposals were submitted to the ESF by the extended deadline of 15th May. The International Review Panel was then constituted and approved by the EUROCORES Science Advisory Panel.  This Review Panel then convened to carefully discuss the appropriateness and ‘sift’ the 7 submitted proposals.  All outline proposals were examined considering, as stated in the Call, the following criteria:

- Relevance/suitability to the Call for proposals
- Novelty and originality
- European added value (scientific)
- Qualifications of the applicants
- Consequently 5 of the 7 were selected to be further developed into Full Proposals.
