When
The conference took place from 2–4 October 2009, with a welcome dinner scheduled upon the participants’ arrival on Thursday 1 October. The programme finished on Sunday 4 October at lunch time.
Where
The location was the beautiful St. Leonard’s Hall at Pollock Halls, in Edinburgh. Accommodation was arranged at the nearby Salisbury Green Hotel and the stylish Minto Hotel.
How to get to the conference site
If you are arriving in Edinburgh by plane, it is probably easiest to take a door-to-door shuttle for £9 for a single journey. Passengers travelling together to the same destination will get reduced rates.
Pollock Halls is situated between the Royal Commonwealth Pool on Dalkeith Road and Holyrood Park. A map of the facilities can be downloaded here. Pollock Halls is a 20 minutes' walk from the central Edinburgh University site at George Square, or a 30 minutes' walk from Edinburgh Waverley train station. Buses 14, 30, and 33 all go past both the main university campus (the junction of West Nicholson Street and Nicholson Street) and Pollock Halls. Alight at the Royal Commonwealth Pool. Bus fares are £1.10 for a single journey.

Participation in the CNCC Final Conference was by invitation only.

For invitees, travel costs are reimbursed up to a maximum of € 400 in accordance with the ESF rules of reimbursement that can be found on the second page of the ESF Travel Claim Form. Accommodation was reimbursed for a maximum of three nights (from Thursday 1 October until Sunday 4 October).
