The research phase of EuroEPINOMICS will run for 3 years and includes national research funding as well as support for networking and dissemination activities. The research grants are provided directly to the eligible and successful Principal Investigators by their respective national funding organisations. The networking and dissemination support, also financed by the national organisations, is centrally managed by the ESF.
The theme of EuroEPINOMICS has been selected because of the demonstrated need for collaboration in this field. The funded Collaborative Research Projects (CRPs) will collectively establish and streamline this new collaboration. To this end, the CRPs are expected to engage the programme participants and, when of clear benefit, colleagues from outside the programme in joint networking or dissemination activities or short-term visits.
Networking activities are intended to encourage and facilitate cooperation between the CRPs within the EuroEPINOMICS programme and also, if appropriate, across different EUROCORES Programmes. Networking activities must directly involve members from more than one CRP.
Typical examples of networking activities are:
- Working group meetings, seminars, workshops, symposia, conferences
- Summer Schools
- Training programmes and specialised courses
Please consult the guidelines for networking activities for more details about eligibility and procedures.
In order to apply for a networking activity, please send your application by e-mail to the Scientific Committee 3 months in advance. After approval by the SC, the ESF Office will send you the link for the online submission of your proposal.
Dissemination activities are intended to deepen the impact of the research and strengthen the field by facilitating the dissemination of results, while raising the profile of a EUROCORES Programme as a whole.
Typical examples are:
A - EUROCORES Programme invited at larger conferences, Working Group meetings (application submitted online)
B - Publications: leaflets, posters, EUROCORES corner in a poster session, books, exhibition booth or stand at a conference (application submitted offline)
C - Dissemination Travel Grants to support an active participation at conferences (organised outside the EUROCORES programme) while promoting the EUROCORES scheme in general and disseminating the achievements of the programme in particular (application submitted offline)
D - Others: for any dissemination activties not covered by the above 3 categories, please contact the EUROCORES Programme Coordinator
Please consult the guidelines for dissemination activities for more details.

EUROCORES Short-Term Visits support visits to another CRP lab within the same or another EUROCORES Programme for up to a maximum of 6 weeks. Applicants are usually junior scientists (PhD students or Post-Doc researchers) working within an Individual Project. Only cross-CRP visits are eligible; intra-CRP travel cannot be covered.
Please consult the guidelines for Short-Term Visits for more information about eligibility and procedures.
