2010

  • The Quantum Optics 2010 Conference, co-organised by EuroQUAM, the Vienna SFB 'FOCUS' funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), the University of Innsbruck and the Centre for Quantum Physics at the University of Innsbruck will take place at Obergurgl, Ötz-Valley near Innsbruck, Austria, from 21-27 February 2010.

2009

  • Pre-doctoral school on Ultracold Quantum Gases of Atoms and Molecules, co-organized by EuroQUAM, the INTERCAN Network and the Institut Francilien de Recherche sur les Atomes Froides (IFRAF) will take place in Les Houches, France, 29 September - 9 October 2009
  • Faraday Discussion on Cold and Ultracold Molecules and EuroQUAM Satellite meeting were held in Durham, UK, 15-18 April 2009.
  • The Young Atom Opticians Conference (YAO 2009), organized exclusively by young researchers and supported by the ESF was held in Vienna, Austria, 17-21 February 2009.

2008

  • Summer School on Direct Quantum Simulation of Condensed Matter Physics with cold atoms and molecules was held in Oxford, UK, 22-26 September 2008. Read more....
  • EuroQUAM session at Gordon Conference took place in Aussoix, France, 7-12 September 2008.
  • The Amazing Quantum World of Ultra Cold Matter EuroQUAM session was held at ESOF in Barcelona, Spain on the 21 July 2008.   

2007-2006

  • 1st Scientific Committee meeting (kick-off meeting)

The EuroQUAM kick-off meeting was held in Strasbourg (ESF Headquarters) on the 9 July 2007.

  • Management committe meeting (funding meeting)

The Management Committee met in Brussels on 19 December 2006. Funding decisions and final commitments from funding agencies are currently being made. The applicants of the 16 Collaborative Research Projects (CRP) are expected to be informed of the funding agencies commitments by April 2007.

  • 2nd Review Panel meeting (ranking meeting)

The EuroQUAM Review Panel met in Strasbourg on 7-8 December 2006 and recommended 16 Proposals for funding subject to funding confirmations and national regulations of participating agencies.

  • 1st Review Panel meeting (sifting meeting)

The EuroQUAM international Review Panel met in Strasbourg on 28-29 June 2006 to consider the 24 Outline proposals received in response to EuroQUAM call. This Panel carefully discussed the appropriateness of the outline proposals. All outline proposals were examined, considering the following criteria:

  • Relevance/suitability to the Call- Novelty and originality
  • European added value
  • Qualification of the applicants
  • Any additional criteria mentioned in the all for Proposals

The Review Panel recommended inviting the proponents of 17 Outline Proposals to submit a Full Proposal. 17 Full Proposals were received on 4 September 2006.
