The programme is overseen by a Management Committee formed by one science administrator from each national Funding Agency taking part in the EUROMARGINS Programme.
Full proposals were internationally peer-reviewed. External Referees were selected from suggestions provided by, and in agreement with, the participating national Funding Agencies. Based on the results of the peer review, the Review Panel recommended and prioritised the best applications for funding by the national Funding Agencies.
The actual funding awarded to the proposals recommended by the EUROMARGINS Review Panel depended on the total amount of funds made available in each country by the national Funding Agencies supporting the programme. The use of funds is subject to the national laws of each country as well as to the internal rules of each national Funding Agency.
Since the Programme was launched, the ESF has been supporting successful applicants involved in this EUROCORES Programme by networking the Collaborative Research Projects (CRPs). The aim is to facilitate the exchange of information, communication and discussion of the results. In this purpose, scientific workshops are organised during the programme’s lifetime. Web facilities are made available and/or supported.
The EUROMARGINS Scientific Committee is made up of the EUROMARGINS Project Leaders and the EUROCORES Programme Coordinator.
